Local Project Episode 17: Roundheels Return

Roundheels made their debut in Episode 4 almost exactly a year ago, and we’ve been following them ever since. Members have changed and songs have been re-recorded, and now they’re on the brink of a new album and building a new record label. We check in with the band (now Brendan Corchran with vocals and guitar, Jacob Lewis on guitar, Eric Moore on drums, and recent addition Kyle Christians on bass) and discuss their progress, the re-recording process, forming a new label, the resurgence of vinyl, and Saint Louis’ challenging lack support for local music compared to other cities.

Local Project Episode 16: Media Ghost

The Local Project returns for the new year with Media Ghost, a band that mixes elements of prog-rock, 80s synths, and a Lou Reed guitar into a no-wave foundation. Buddy Shumaker (Vocals, guitar, keyboards), Joe Zydiak (bass), and Seth Donnely (drums) came in to talk about the no-wave style and how they blend it in with their own far-flung influences, their writing process, and the lines between studio performances and live performances.
