Webster Women’s Basketball Team defeats MacMurray 75-49

The Webster University Women’s Basketball Team defeated the MacMurray Highlanders 75-49 Saturday in Grant Gymnasium. Katy Meyer led all scorers with 18 points for Webster. Tori Fenemor added 12 points. Maggie Zehner scored eight as Kaliann Rikard and Molly Zehner added 7 points.

Dakota Hellyer led MacMurray with 12 points and Kelsey Anderson added 11. Kiana Hogan scored 9 points and LaToya Jones added 5.

The Gorloks press defense was the main difference in the game by stealing the ball 21 times and forcing 31 turnovers. Webster’s next game is Wednesday February 9 vs Blacburn College.

Webster Basketball versus MacMurray College

The Webster men's basketball team has won 11 straight games

Gorloks look to stay hot in stretch run to conference tournament.

Tune in Saturday as the Webster University Women’s and Men’s Basketball Teams battle MacMurray in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) play.

The Women’s game will start at 1:00CT with coverage on The Galaxy beginning at 12:50. The Gorloks will look to beat MacMurray for the second time this season, winning the first meeting by a score of 90-63.

Webster has won three straight SLIAC games and are currently third in the conference. The top four teams at the end of the season advance to the SLIAC tournament.

The Men’s game will begin at 3:00, following the Women’s game. Webster will be looking to avenge its only conference loss which was to MacMurray by a score of 73-69.

The Gorloks have won 11 games in a row, not losing since December. Webster will look to remain in first place in the SLIAC as MacMurray, currently fifth, looks to get into the conference tournament picture. Coverage begins at 12:50CT on Saturday.

Webster Basketball versus Westminster

Tune in Wednesday night as the Webster University women’s and men’s basketball teams take on the Westminster College Blue Jays in a double-header.

Coverage will begin at 5:50CT followed by tipoff for the women’s game at 6:00.

The Gorloks are coming off a 71-59 loss to Spalding College to3rd place (4-2) in the St. Louis Intercolegiate Athletic Conference (9-6 overall.) Webster will be looking to gain ground on the first-place Blue Jays, who are 7-0 in the SLIAC.

The men’s game will follow at 8:00. The Gorloks (5-1 in the SLIAC) will look to pull into a virtual tie with the Blue Jays (7-0 in the SLIAC.) Webster has win seven games in a row, including five straight conference games.

Bryce Johnson and Nate Lucas will bring all the action live with pregame beginning at 5:50CT.
