Mueller and Balanced Offensive Attack Lead Gorloks to 10-0 Win

The Gorloks had about as strong and impressive of a game as they could as they defeated the Blackburn Beavers 10-0 in 7 innings. The Gorloks remain undefeated in the SLIAC at 7-0.

Starting pitcher David Mueller was dominant, pitching 7 shutout innings, allowing two hits, and striking out 12.

While Mueller only needed one run of support for this game, he ended up with a double digit lead.

Webster broke the scoring open in the 3rd inning when Tom Henke hit a two-run laser over the right field wall. Alex Kazmierski followed with a moonshot over the left field wall to put the Gorloks up 3-0.

From that point on, the Gorloks small-balled their way to victory. They put tallies up courtesy of stolen bases, infield singles, and long doubles in the gaps. Blackburn Freshman Pitcher Vinnie Birk couldn’t stop the bleeding.

The Gorloks will travel to Blackburn College tomorrow for a double-header, before squaring off with MacMurray at home on Tuesday night.
